Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala city to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After a delicious morning breakfast (6:00am) at your lodge in Kampala, you will be picked up and lead the 500 kilometer road to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. You are advised to carry some snacks and water since the journey starts early and sometimes may not get time to wait for breakfast. You will have a pictorial stopover at Kayabwe – Mpigi district for an amazing experience at the Uganda Equator – a point at which the main latitude crosses the country at 00 degrees.
You can as well choose to opt for lunch stopover at Igongo Cultural center and take a glance at Ankole historical monuments such as their long-horned cattle – “Mayenje g’eishinjo.” Continue along the long Kampala – Kabale – Bwindi route that is characterized by plantations, bustling trading centers, eye catching green vegetation, dramatic landscapes and rolling hills.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community visit.
Every day is a brand new moment which comes with unique experiences! Have an early morning breakfast and join others for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking expedition. The trekking begins there and then. It is a one-of-the-kind experience characterized by following gorillas from the point where they spent the previous night until you land on them in their new territory.
It is somewhat tricky and requires some physical fitness. You are allowed to spend an hour with these gorillas in the event of encountering with them, it is here that you take pictures and enjoy their human-like ways of life such as playing, dinning and mating.
Return to your lodge for a delicious late lunch and relax for a few hours before embarking on an evening walk to the nearby communities.
The Batwa pygmies offer hospitable environment to their visitors. Get a chance to interact and make new friends as well as enjoying their traditional dances, food and other performances.
Return to your lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala city and departure.
After a morning breakfast, your driver will lead you on the journey back to Kampala characterized by lunch stopovers in Mbarara city – Igongo Cultural Center or at Kayabwe (Uganda Equator) and do things that you might have missed on the first day to the national park.
You can choose to spend a night in Kampala city at any hotel of your choice or continue to Entebbe International Airport from where you board a plane back home, hence coming to an end of this 3 days safari in Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
