The 10 day safari in the Pearl of Africa is one of a kind experience that starts from Kampala city taking you to Jinja city, Mt. Elgon, Pian Upe and Matheniko game reserves, Kidepo Valley national park, Karamoja communities, Murchison falls national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Lake Mburo national park and return to Kampala / Entebbe international airport for derparture.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala / Entebbe international airport to Jinja city.
At Entebbe International airport, you will be welcomed by our professional driver / guide and lead you to Sezibwa falls from where you will learn its historical attachment to Buganda kingdom before continuing to Mabira forest and make a stop-over for zip lining experience and take as many pictures as you wish.
Continue to Jinja city for lunch, relax for a few moments and visit the source of R. Nile on a leisurely boat cruise. While in Jinja, you have endless options – engaging in a number of activities such as bungee jumping, boat cruises, city walks, quad biking, horseback riding to mention but a few.
Return to your booked hotel / lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer from Jinja city to Mt. Elgon national park.
After an early morning breakfast, the driver will lead you to the five hour drive journey to Mt. Elgon national park. The trip is characterized by trading centers, grasslands, rolling hills, beautiful landscape and lunch stopover in Mbale city.
Upon arrival, check in to the lodge for relaxation before embarking on the afternoon nature walks on the foothills of Mount. Elgon which introduces you to a number of species such as forest hogs, duikers, squirrels, and primates like white colobus monkeys and the blue monkeys.
Return to the lodge in the later hours for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Visit the Sipi falls and transfer to Pian-Upe Game reserve.
After an early morning breakfast, you will visit Sipi falls for yet another amazing experience. The three falls at Sipi offer good pictorial experiences that turn moments into memories. Around this area you can also visit coffee plantations / processing centers and local brewing areas.
Drive to Pian-Upe and take a look at some wild game such as vervet monkeys and olive baboons in addition to bird species such as the rare ostrich, white headed buffalo weaver, great hartlaub’s bustard and Jackson’s hornbill all of which can be sighted in Loporokocho swamp.
Go on with your drive, until Boroka Corridor Game Reserve from where you will have a lunch stop over before exploring it. The reserve is mainly covered by savannah grasslands, shrubs, bushes and short trees. The northern side of the reserve hosts two mountains that is Kadam and Napak.
Continue to Moroto town from where you will check into any lodge of your choice relax, have dinner and spend a night.
Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo Valley national park.
After a delicious morning breakfast in Moroto, you will embark on a transfer to Kidepo valley national park. The park lies in the uppermost end of the country – north eastwards and is home to a number of bird and animal species and the magical Lomej hills.
On your way to the park, enjoy beautiful plains, lush vegetation cover, local markets and lunch stopovers. Check in to the lodge of your choice for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Morning game drive and visiting Karamajong Community.
After a lip-smirking breakfast, embark on the amazing morning game drive that will enable you explore Kidepo Valley plains to the maximum. The park is generally made up of a flat terrain with scenic undulating hills and the vegetation is eye-catching in one way or the other. It is as well home to a number of bird species and animal species such as giraffes, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, herons, bee-catchers, to mention but a few.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before embarking on the afternoon Karamajong visit. The karamojong are hospitable people who welcome visitors with traditional dances. You will get to know more about their life such as nomadic pastoralism, marriage rituals, to mention but a few.
Transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight in the late hours of the day.
Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
This day six is yet another special day since it involves traveling all the way from Northern region south westwards via undulating hills, dramatic landscapes, plantations and scenic stopovers along the way. The journey takes utmost eight hours.
You will check in to the lodge and relax. There is an optional evening guided nature walk or game drive introducing you to a few of the park’s wild game before it gets dark. Spend the night at the lodge as you prepare for the coming day.
Day 7: Morning game drive and boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.
Wake up early in the morning and grab yourself a delicious breakfast and embark on the game drive into the deepest parts of the largest national park in Uganda. It is here that you will have a chance of meeting all the big five animals in one place in addition to other animals such as giraffes, crocodiles, monkeys, antelopes, etc. Murchison falls is also a reliable destination for bird lovers since it hosts the rare shoebill stork, strange weaver, grauer’s swamp warbler, dusky crimson wing, the colour rich regal sunbird, etc.
Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch before joining the afternoon boat cruise that will take you to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls from where you will meet the ranger who will lead you to the top of the falls. You will get to know the beauty of pictorial moments while on top of these thunderous falls as well as listening to the roaring sounds of water. Return to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
After an early morning breakfast, you will sign out of the lodge and start your journey taking about 8-9 hours of drive to the magical Queen Elizabeth national park, while passing via the undulating Buliisa rift valley escarpments, rolling hills and plantations, etc.
Day 9: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Every day is a brand new day! Explore the magical Queen Elizabeth National Park – home of climbing lions in Ishasha sector, Katwe salt mining area, animal views at the magical Kazinga channel and backdrop of the magical mountains of the moon (Mt. Rwenzori).
After delicious breakfast, embark on the morning game drive that will introduce you to more than half of the park’s resident mammals, primates and birds.
Continue and drive along the Mbarara – Kasese road taking you through the tea plantations, scenic Kyambura escarpment, Mbarara city, cultural experience and lunch at Igongo Cultural Center.
Enter Lake Mburo national park via Sanga gate and be welcomed by a number of animal species such as buffaloes, zebras, water bucks, waterbucks, etc. in addition to many bird species. Check in to the lodge of your choice relax, have dinner and spend a night.
Day 10: Game drive and transfer to Kampala city – departure.
After a cup of coffee, embark on a morning game drive / horse ride and get to explore deeper parts of this small national park. Meet a number of animals at the lake shores, such as bush pigs, crocodiles, hippopotamuses, giraffes, to mention but a few. The park is as well a reliable destination for bird lovers since it hosts a number of bird species such as crested francolin, red-necked spur fowl, arrow-marked babbler, emerald-spotted wood-dove, brown parrot, barefaced go-away-bird, etc.
Continue and drive the five hour drive Mbarara – Masaka – Kampala road via different towns. Dare not to miss a stopover at Kayabwe – a point where the equator crosses the country for a pictorial moment and you can grab yourself some souvenirs from the shops. Continue to Entebbe airport for your flight back home, coming to the climax of this 10 days Uganda safari expedition.
